DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION POLICY

My Breast Day, with its core mission of empowering women and promoting breast health, is deeply committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a company founded by a member of the BIPOC community, our founder has always emphasized the importance of inclusivity. As we continue to grow, we pledge to uphold standards of equality across all lines – gender, race, and sexual orientation.

Below is our commitment to cultivating an inclusive business environment. This policy is dynamic and will evolve as we continue to learn and adapt.

LEARNING + EDUCATION

We have engaged a DEI consultant to assist us in understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by people of color and marginalized communities. By 01/06/2024, the consultant will help us:

Understand how our #MyBreastDay mission is experienced differently by these communities
Sensitize our messaging to the lack of opportunity and inclusion for these groups
Develop resources and collaborations with inclusive charitable organizations and influencers that support the needs and goals of these communities.


OPERATIONS + TEAM BUILDING

Our online presence, including our website and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), will reflect our commitment to diversity. Images will include BIPOC and members from marginalized communities, communicating that all are welcome here.

We will add a DEI statement to our About section on the My Breast Day website.

Our team, including staff, contractors, manufacturing partners, models, and influencers, will be diverse and representative of the communities we serve.

SUPPORT + PROMOTION

We will spotlight our Brand Ambassadors from diverse backgrounds:

Instagram: Through stories takeovers, live interviews
Website: As blog contributors


PARTNERS + SPONSORS

All sponsors and collaborators will be vetted for their commitment to diversity. They will be required to provide information about the percentage of BIPOC on their leadership teams and their commitment to hiring people of color.

Small sponsors with family-owned businesses or teams of fewer than five will be asked to share their DEI policies/initiatives.

Invitations for our founder to speak will be accepted only if people of color are included in their podcast, panels, keynotes, blogs, etc.

Before partnering with service providers, educational resources, or communities/groups, we will vet them for diversity, equity, and inclusion. We will ask about their DEI policy and the percentage of BIPOC participants.

This policy reflects our commitment to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
